BELTON, TX — One victim was airlifted to a hospital and another was injured after a collision in Belton Thursday evening.
According to officials, Sparta VFD, CBCFR and Morgan's Point responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Sparta Road and Water Works Road.
The accident happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Officials said it took several sets of hydraulic tools to release one victim.
One victim was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White with unknown injuries. The second victim was transported to the hospital by ground.
Officials said no deaths were reported from the scene at this time.
This is still an active scene and the Department of Public Safety is conducting an investigation.
Officials said to avoid the area.
