TEMPLE, TX — A man has been arrested following a deadly shooting in December.
Around 1:38 a.m. on December 26, 2020, officers with the Temple Police Department responded to a shots-fired call in the 900 block of North Second Street.
When authorities arrived, they found a dead man.
On Monday, December 28, the victim was identified as 31-year-old Elvin DaShaun Worthey.
Following an investigation, on December 30, a warrant was issued for 27-year-old Demetrius Rush for Worthey's death.
Around 6:50 p.m. on January 20, 2021, Rush turned himself into Temple Police. He was placed under arrest and transported to Bell County Jail.
