BELL COUNTY, TX — The Bell County Sheriff's Department identified the missing kayaker at Belton Lake Tuesday afternoon.
The man was identified as 60-year-old Eddie Crain. He was a correctional officer with the Bell County Jail for nine years.
The department said an empty kayak was found at Belton Lake and they were searching for the kayaker.
Crain will not be having a public service or memorial.
Belton police, Morgan's Point Resort Fire Department and DPS assisted in the search.
