KILLEEN, TX — A motorcyclist was arrested after leading police on a chase from Georgetown to Killeen Friday afternoon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety attempted to pull over the motorcyclist near Oak Branch Dr. The motorcycle took off northbound, attempting to evade the officer.
A chase ensued and ended in Killeen after the motorcycle became disabled. The driver pulled over to the side of the road near Plaza Dr., and troopers arrested the driver without incident.
DPS discovered that the motorcycle was stolen out of Killeen after the arrest.
The man, 34-year-old Andrew Mahan of Harker Heights, was also found with illegal drugs. He is being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony evading with a vehicle and misdemeanor driving while license invalid.
