NOLANVILLE, TX — The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) group has been traveling Central Texas to help veterans and their families obtain the services and benefits they have earned.
The DAV's Mobile Service Office Program travels to under-served communities across the country to help veterans and their families obtain services and benefits.
On Wednesday, the van made a stop at The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 22 out of Nolanville.
"It is a nice, easy transition going into the VA and getting their claims finished through the DAV. Then they take it to Waco and have it processed in Waco," said Kathy Dunham, Commander of DAV Chapter 22 in Nolanville.
Those involved explained that the DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families.
They help more than one million veterans every year.
The Mobile Service Office will be in Gatesville on Thursday and in Granbury on Friday.
