Man found guilty of murder after deadly shooting outside Killeen nightclub

KILLEEN, TX — A man was found guilty of murder after a deadly shooting outside a Killeen nightclub in August 2018.

According to the affidavit, Killeen police were dispatched to a shooting at the Obok nightclub at 2815 S. Fort Hood Street. When officers arrived on the scene they found a man on the ground with multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was later identified as Deandre Thomas, 41.

Officers spoke to multiple witnesses that stated that 45-year-old Reginald Jacksonverbally argued with Thomas in the club. Later that evening, the two were arguing at the front door of the club when Jackson pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds at the victim, according to the affidavit.

On Friday, January 17, 2020, Jackson was found guilty of murder.

The jury has not yet come to a decision regarding his punishment.
