KILLEEN, TX — A man is in the Bell County Jail for shooting his friend on accident.
According to the arrest affidavit, 25-year-old Adrian Rich told police he thought the gun was empty and shot at his friend. The gun was loaded, so his friend was shot near his should blades.
The victim told police that Rich did shoot him, but he did not mean to. He said he meant to point the gun, but not actually fire a bullet.
The incident happened in early October in the 4000 block of Gus Dr. in Killeen.
Rich was arrested on Thursday, and he is being held on a $250,000 bond. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
