KILLEEN, TX — A 37-year-old man was arrested for strangling his ex-girlfriend with her purse in October in Killeen.
Jhirmack Brown is in the Bell County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim went to Brown's apartment in Killeen to try to mend their relationship on Oct 2.
The two began to argue, and Brown punched the victim in the back of the head and the nose. Brown dragged the victim to the back of the living room and started punching her.
The victim tried to leave the apartment, and Brown grabbed her and started to choke her with her purse strap. When the victim's vision started going black, the purse strap broke in half. Brown then kicked the victim in the head.
