KPD investigating death of 14-year-old boy as a murder case

Killeen Police are now investigating the death of 14-year-old boy as a murder case.

The 14-year-old juvenile pronounced deceased on Monday, September 14, 2020 was identified as Jervontrae Robinson.

Robinson was at his residence when he suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.

Killeen Police Homicide Detectives have interviewed an additional juvenile that was present when the shooting occurred.

The case continues to be investigated and is considered a murder investigation.

On September 14, at approximately 4:02 p.m., Killeen Police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Williamette Ln. in reference to an unresponsive juvenile within the residence.

Upon officer’s arrival they began CPR and the juvenile was transported to Darnall Army Medical Center.

The juvenile, a 14-year-old male, was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 5:43 p.m.

He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
