KILLEEN, TX — A Killeen woman was arrested for driving intoxicated with three children in the car.
The Killeen Police Department says they were dispatched to a crash where they identified the driver as Shaunda Jenae Walker.
Three children, one 10-year-old and twin 3-year-olds, were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Officers say they observed the suspect to have slurred speech, glassy eyes and difficulty walking.
The suspect and her children were transported to the hospital for their injuries, where officers smelt alcohol on Walker.
Police say the three children were observed to have scrapes and cuts and were bleeding.
The 10-year-old child was also taken to an operating room to have glass removed from her face. She suffered a broken arm.
Killeen Police say during a search, officers found a small baggie of cocaine in Walker's wallet.
Walker confessed she had drank up to four vodka drinks, and was driving home at the time of the crash.
Walker was arrested for driving while intoxicated with children in the car, injury to a child - reckless bodily injury, and possession of a controlled substance.
She is being held in the Bell County Jail on a $140,000 bond.
