KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen police are hosting a community crime forum open to the public on Thursday.

The purpose of the forum is to strengthen the relationship between officers and citizens.

The forum gives officers a chance to listen to the concerns of the community and provide information on any crime related topic.

Killeen Police Chief Charles Kimble is set to speak at the event.

"(The event) Hope to create a conversation among community members, leaders, and members of the police department in an effort to improve communication, exchange information, ideas, and safety for all," said the Facebook page.

The meeting will be held Thursday at the Grace Christian Center in the Family Center building from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m.
