KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting death, according to a news release.
Around 11 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 1800 block of Mulford Street. Officers found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound and performed lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived.
The victim was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition, and died from his injuries just before midnight.
The victim's name is being withheld at this time as his family has not yet been notified.
