Killeen police investigating murder at 300 block of S. 10th St.

KILLEEN, TX — On Dec 17. 2020, at around 9:15 p.m., Killeen police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a shooting victim at 300 block of S. 10th St.

Upon arrival, they located Tonya Denise Dixon suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers then started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived.

Dixon succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced diseased at 11:29 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Coleman ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.
