KILLEEN, TX — On December 20, 2020, Killeen Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Lake Road in reference to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
It was determined that the motorcycle, with a single rider and operator, was westbound on Lake Road at a high rate of speed when the rider lost control and struck the curb on the north side of the road.
The collision separated the rider from the motorcycle, ejecting him. The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The rider was transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center with severe injuries. Then later transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for further treatment.
On December 22, 2020, Traffic Unit Investigators were notified that the rider, James Allen Davis Jr. 55, had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
This crash continues to be investigated by the Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit.
