KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Police Department is investigating after 60 vehicles were burglarized in one night.
The incidents happened overnight Tuesday in the parking lots of hotels between Jasper Road and W.S. Young Drive.
Police say the suspect(s) broke into the vehicles by breaking a window. They then rummaged through the vehicles for things to take. At least 8 handguns were stolen along with ammunition.
The department is encouraging the community to secure your belongings, especially firearms, from their vehicles overnight.
