KILLEEN, TX — An Ellison High School ninth-grader was arrested on Wednesday for making a terroristic threat against the school.
Terry Abbott, Chief Communications Officer for Killeen Independent School District, said the 14-year-old girl made a verbal threat of violence against the school.
KISD police arrested her on campus and transported her to a juvenile detention center. She was charged with terroristic threat.
Abbott said no student was in any danger.
Ellison High School Principal David Dominguez called parents to alert them of the arrest.
“We take any kind of threat like this very seriously,” the message said. “Parents, please help us to make sure students know that if they ever make a threat against the school, they be charged with a felony and sent to jail or juvenile detention. The safety of everyone on campus is always our highest priority, and no threat such as this will ever be tolerated on the campus of Ellison High School.”
