KILLEEN, TX — A Killeen middle school student has been arrested for making a threat against Nolan Middle School.
The district says around 7:45 a.m., police received a call alerting them to the threat.
District police and Killeen Police worked to secure Nolan Middle School and investigate the potential threat. Police determined the threat was not credible.
After four hours, a middle school student was arrested on terroristic threat charges, a felony offense, and taken into custody.
The district says students must understand that school safety is taken seriously, and any student making or spreading false, unverified threats against schools will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
