KILLEEN, TX — A Killeen man was arrested and charged with committing aggravated assault with bodily injury with a deadly weapon on Dec 29.
Police said they were dispatched to a residence in the 3300 block of Wayne Avenue in Bell County at 3:34 p.m. to investigate a possible domestic disturbance.
The affidavit states Timothy Lawrence Pitterman struck his stepfather in the back of the head with a metal globe after an argument.
The officer observed that the victim had a large laceration on the back of his head and had blood on the back and right side of his neck.
The victim's wife, and Pitterman's mother, confirmed that the suspect threw the metal globe.
She said the victim then stumbled outside where he knocked over the BBQ grill.
Police said they examined the metal globe that was used in the assault and the globe weighed over 7 pounds.
Pitterman is being held on a $253,000 bond.
