KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen ISD Virtual Learning Center launched Monday to give curious parents and students their first glimpse into the 2020-2021 school year.

All KISD students will start school virtually on Monday, August 17, 2020, with the option to transition to in-person instruction starting Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

The KISD VLC houses the new Connected Classroom Handbook for Elementary and Secondary parents and students, daily curriculum platform login access points, training modules, and video support resources for parents and students.

Parents and students will also have access to KISD Technology Hotlines, five days a week (7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), for assistance during the 20-21 school year. Monday – Thursday the hotline will have extended evening hours until 8:00 p.m.

Virtual Learning Center training for teachers is ongoing through Friday.

KISD has also published its Public Health Guide, which outlines the procedures the district has put into place to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. A downloadable version of this state-mandated document is also available online: https://www.killeenisd.org/phg

Starting Monday, August 17, KISD educators will deliver customized curriculum, including both live and online recorded lessons for all KISD students.
