KILLEEN, TX — Class was held at six stories in midair on Friday for around a dozen Killeen ISD students.
The Killeen ISD Career Center's Fire Academy helps students get started with careers as firefighters.
On Friday, students had the chance to rappel off the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Killeen as part of their training.
"It's pretty fun. It's my dream, so I get a chance to do it," said junior Dallas Day.
The firefighter cadet program is operated by KISD in partnership with the Killeen Fire Department.
