KILLEEN, TX — Killeen ISD issued a statement Friday confirming they are aware of an "inappropriate drawing in a bathroom stall at Shoemaker High School depicting a possible threat."
Taina Maya, Killeen ISD spokesperson, says the district is investigating and has increased police presence on the campus.
The district also says students are safe, and school is continuing as normal.
Killeen ISD added,
"Parents please talk with your students and help us to make clear that any threat whether hoax or not will ever be tolerated. We will always aggressively investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Threats like these needlessly alarm students and parents alike. Any student who is found recklessly spreading hoax reports like this, will face consequences."
