KILLEEN, TX — The Fort Hood community is continuing to show their support for military families and the education of military-connected students.

For over 35 years, the Fort Hood Area Military Family Member Scholarship Fund (FHAMFMSF) has given scholarships to students of military families. The goal is to help further education and promote the success of the military families in the community.

It's something Killeen ISD says is essential in their community.

“KISD is a good place, and we are here to serve not just military students but all students. But, military students are definitely the backbone of our community," said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Eric Penrod.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 2, 2021.

Applications for FHAMFMSF and other scholarships can be found through the Naviance section of the district's website.
