Veterans in the Killeen and Copperas Cove areas will be able to receive healthcare services closer to home thanks to two new VA clinics.
According to the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), over 37,000 veterans who are currently registered with the VA live in the Killeen and Copperas Cove area, as well as areas adjacent to and west of Bell County.
CTVHCS says they will open solicitation bids for a contractor to provide provide primary care services at each clinic location for up to 7,200 veterans.
The two new VA clinics are planned to be operated and staffed as a contracted community-based outpatient clinic.
