After a nine-month long deployment in Iraq, troops from the 3rd Cavalry Regiment, who arrived back to the states last month, were welcomed home by their adoptive city of Harker Heights.
"This is a wonderful event, they planned and executed this entire event, the community did, without any help from us," said Colonel John Byrom, 3rd Cavalry Regiment Commander.
Exclusively held for soldiers and their families, this was a way that the community could give back to those that give so much to ensure our freedom.
A principal role in pulling the event together, Jeff Ache, Harker Heights Director of Parks and Recreation said, "this shows why Harker Heights is such a great community to live in."
