HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — The City of Harker Heights is warning residents to not listen to a company they say is advertising false claims concerning the city's water quality.
According to the City, they have received reports that a company is advertising in-home water tests for Harker Heights residents. The City says the company makes false claims concerning the city's water quality and the need for purchasing a water test through the vendor.
The City of Harker Heights says drinking water is monitored through testing required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). According to the City, Harker Heights drinking water was rated Superior by the TCEQ in the 2018 Annual Drinking Water Report.
