TEMPLE, TX — Governor Greg Abbott recognized the hard work of Temple and how its growth is a contributing factor in the overall economic boom of the state during the Temple Chamber of Commerce's Salute to Business.
Over 800 people attended the event at the Mayborn City & Convention Center, which highlighted the success of Temple.
"Of what organization like the Temple Chamber of Commerce and so many others like you help us achieve every single day, " said Governor Abbott during his speech.
His words excited the entire room.
"The businesses, the schools, our education, everything is growing in Temple, and I think this event reflects that," said Dan Posey, who attended the event.
Abbott says the Lone Star state is booming now more than ever, and President of the Temple Chamber of Commerce Rodney Henry agrees.
"There are several plants that are under construction right now in the west side, the expansion of logistic centers, and you can't talk about growth and development without concentrating on what is happening in downtown like the Santa Fe Plaza Center," said Henry.
