The cutting of a red ribbon signaled the opening of a new foster care facility in Belton.
Foster Love Bell County held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony as they opened the doors to their new location in Belton on Friday.
The newly re-purposed home was remodeled thanks to families and businesses in the community picking a room to sponsor and help fund.
Foster Love Bell County said the new facility is a much need addition for the program.
“We’re really excited. We have been working towards this for a while and we’re so excited that the day had finally come where we can open up our doors and just really get to meet some needs here in Bell County,” said Candace Cartwright, Executive Director of Foster Love Bell County.
Foster Love Bell County began work on the property back in December and is equipped with a kitchen and shower facilities, as well as several beds and a game room for the kids.
The new facility can hold up to nine children that may need to stay overnight.
