FORT HOOD, TX — A Fort Hood soldier, and father of four, has returned home from deployment, just in time to surprise his children.
For the past 8 months, SSG Matthew David Sanford has been in Korea on his 5th deployment.
His four children, aged 11, 10, 7, and 3, attend school in Fort Hood.
On Feb. 7, SSG Sanford surprised his children one by one at their schools.
SSG Sanford surprised his 11-year-old daughter Natalie at Audie Murphy Middle School first.
His 3-year-old Kinsley, 10-year-old Kourtnie, and 7-year-old Lucas, were surprised at Meadows Elementary School.
