FORT HOOD, TX — Fort Hood soldiers will receive free Christmas trees thanks to a donation from Trees for Troops.
The organization has donated hundreds of trees, which will be given away to Fort Hood soldiers in grades E-1 to E-4.
Trees for Troops is a program of the Christmas Spirit Foundation and provides free, farm-grown Christmas trees to members in all branches of the U.S. military and their families.
Trees will be given away starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 7 in Fort Hood Stadium. Trees will be given on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Military active duty or dependent identification card will be required.
