FORT HOOD, TX — Major General Scott Efflandt, Fort Hood's Deputy Commander, has posted a video message pleading for information on the whereabouts of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen.

Fort Hood's social media pages posted a video of the Deputy Commander asking for the public's help in finding the missing soldier.

"As we all grieve the loss of one Soldier, someone out there can help us not to have to grieve for another," the message says.

"Somebody, some person out there has the piece of information we need to bring Vanessa home. We will continue to search for our missing member of our Army family," Major General Efflandt said.

“If you are the person that has the information we need, I ask you, please call 254-495-7767. We need to bring Vanessa back to our Army family and to bring her back to her family, we won’t stop this effort until we are successful...and with your help, we can be successful sooner.”

Twenty-year-old Pfc. Vanessa Guillen, assigned to 3rd Cavalry Regiment, was last seen on April 22 in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters on Fort Hood.

The 3rd Cavalry Regiment commander, Col. Ralph Overland, has appointed an investigating teamled by a senior investigating officer to conduct a commander’s investigation into allegations that Vanessa Guillen was sexually harassed.
