First Community Title collects books for Bell County schools

What better way to celebrate authors like Dr. Seuss than to bring the gift of reading children in the community. 

In honor of National Read Across America day on March 2, First Community Title in Bell County has been collecting books all month to donate to the surrounding school districts. 

They have been able to collect over 300 new and gently used books throughout their Bell County offices that will be donated to schools in Temple, Belton, Killeen, Harker Heights and Fort Hood on March 1.

The said after hearing about National Read Across America Day they jumped on the chance to give back to the community.

“It warms the heart to know that you’re doing something good and you never know when something really simple like giving a child Horton Hatches The Egg is going to change their day or be a book they will for always remember,” said Claire Hartman, Owner Partner of First Community Title. 

First Community Title said they have extended the book drive through next Feb. 27, 2019, so it’s not too late help out.  

You can donate new or gently used books during business hours at any one of their Bell County locations.
