BELTON, TX — Belton firefighters saved a dog that was inside a home that was destroyed by fire late Thursday.
The fire broke out just before midnight in the 600 block of S. Penelope Street. It took crews about two hours to put out the blaze.
Firefighters said the dog was rescued from the home and given oxygen to survive. No one was hurt during the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home is considered a total loss.
