BELTON, TX — The Belton Fire Department and Fire Corps announced they are now out of electric fans to give to residents until June 14.

The department said they are expecting to have more once they receive additional donations.

The fans are for residents in need of cooling off during the heat.

According to the department, the fans are for those who are elderly, disabled or residents with life-threatening illnesses.

To receive a fan, the person must show proof of residency within Belton city limits, such as a electric bill, water bill or other utility bill.

Once fans are available again on June 14, residents should be able to pick them up Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fire Station 2, located on Sparta Road.
