KILLEEN, TX — Residents are mourning their two pets that died in an apartment fire 5 days before Christmas.
A fire at the Summerlyn Apartments in Killeen left 8 units damaged and at least 12 people displaced.
Roommates Christopher Garcia and Samuel Berg lost a Red nose Pitbull and a Chihuahua to the fire. A GoFundMe has been started to help them get back on their feet.
The fire happened late Thursday afternoon.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the Red Cross is assisting the victims.
