KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Fire Department was dispatched to a residence in response to a house fire early Monday morning.
Officials say the fire started in the attic area of the house on Pebble Dr. in Killeen.
The cause of the fire was believed to be caused by lightning but officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the fire.
The family was home at the time of the fire and was able to get out with their family dog without injury.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
