KILLEEN, TX — A crash near S. Fort Hood Street in Killeen Friday morning left one driver in serious condition.
Killeen Police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Fort Hood Street in reference to a crash around 6:50 am.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a box truck was traveling southbound on Ft. Hood Street and was stopped for traffic at the stop light.
Police say a car that was also traveling southbound at an unsafe speed failed to control its speed and struck the rear of the truck causing it to get pinned underneath it.
The driver of the car was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in serious condition.
The driver of the truck reported no injuries.
