TEMPLE, TX — A dog has died following an early morning house fire in Temple Tuesday.
According to Temple Fire & Rescue, firefighters were called out for a structure fire in the 900 block of Young Avenue around 12 a.m.
When fire crews arrived, they saw fire showing from the house.
One resident inside the home was able to get out without any injuries. However, the owner's dog did die in the fire.
Temple Fire says crews quickly extinguished the fire and had it under control at 12:23 a.m.
A total of eight units responded to the fire.
The incident has been filed as accidental.
