KILLEEN, TX — Through the investigation, detectives with the Homicide Unit identified a suspect in this case.
On March 21, 2020, this case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging Luke Matthew Cuellar, 25, with Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence.
Cuellar was arrested and booked into the Killeen City Jail where the investigation continued.
On April 15, 2020, detectives received a complaint from the Bell County District Attorney’s Office charging Cuellar with the Murder of Ann Smith Evans.
Justice of the Peace Coleman arraigned Cuellar and set his bond at $1,000,000.
Cuellar is currently in the Bell County Jail.
This Murder continues to be investigated and information will be released as it becomes available.
