Detectives identify man killed in Killeen shooting

KILLEEN, TX — Detectives with the Killeen Police Department have identified a man killed in a shooting in Killeen Friday.

Around 11 p.m. on October 4, officers responded to the 1800 block of Mulford Street for reports of a shooting victim. When they arrived, they found 36-year-old Simeon Onesimus Shaw with a gunshot wound and performed lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived.

Shaw was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition, and died from his injuries just before midnight.

The Killeen Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating Shaw's death. The department says information will be released as it becomes available.
