TROY, TX — One person is dead and two injured after a crash Jan. 28 on FM 935.
The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers say they responded to a fatality crash on FM 935 just outside of the Troy city limits.
A 2007 Nissan pick-up truck driven by Colby Eugene Collier, 25, of Troy was southbound on FM 935.
The Nissan crossed the double yellow line and into the path of a 2018 Chevrolet pick-up northbound on FM 935.
The Chevrolet truck was driven by Samantha Jo Allen, 28, of Red Oak.
The passenger in the Nissan pickup was killed upon impact.
The passenger killed was identified as George Weldon Collier, 63, of Troy.
Collier was pronounced deceased by Bell County Justice of the Peace Theodore Duffield at 4:55 p.m. on Jan. 27.
Both drivers of the vehicles, along with a 27 year old male passenger from the Chevrolet pick-up, sustained injuries from the crash and where transported to Scott and White Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is currently active and ongoing.
