BELTON, TX — A single-vehicle crash on FM 493 in Belton claimed the life of a Copperas Cove man.
The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Christopher Davonte Dilling of Copperas Cove.
Belton Police says they received a report of a single car accident with the driver ejected on April 29 around 9:56 p.m.
The vehicle was traveling East on FM 439 and left the roadway hitting gravel.
The operator lost control and crossed both lanes of travel and ended up on the westbound side striking a patch of trees.
The driver was ejected and was determined deceased by EMS personnel, according to police.
CRASH team responded and was assisted by DPS and TXDot.
