TEMPLE, Texas — Rainfall in Temple has caused sanitary sewage overflow near Bird Creek, according to the city.
The sewer around 61st Street and Northwood Road has overflowed over 100,000 gallons of discharge.
The city is taking measures to contain and disinfect the receiving stream.
Cleanup of the area will continue after the flow stops, and the city says crews are working on the situation.
