FORT HOOD, TX — Singer Ciara Harris-Wilson, born on Fort Hood, surprised 50 expectant mothers during a baby shower via Zoom on May 5.

The surprise was hosted by the Fort Hood USO.

“I’m so grateful for you all. I know the world is grateful for you all and your sacrifice,” Ciara said, according to the Fort Hood Sentinel. “There is just nothing you all can’t do and I’m so thrilled for you and your next chapter — for those first time moms, it’s going to be amazing.”

Ciara gifted each expectant mother a inflatable yellow rubber duck filled with products for their future newborn.

Ciara is the most genuine person known to man — speaking to the spouses as if they were friends — it was very refreshing to see that in a celebrity,” Fort Hood USO Center director Isabel Hubbard told the Sentinel.

The singer is currently pregnant with her third child.

"We are in this together," Harris-Wilson said to her fellow Fort Hood expectant mothers.
