BELTON, TX — A Bell County woman celebrated a very special day on Saturday.
Alta Bell Adams Kemp celebrated her 100 years old on Saturday. Family and friends gathered and shared countless memories about her life accomplishments.
Her children all gave a speech about how proud they are of their mother.
"She is amazing, like my brother said, she still wants to help and every time she calls me she says, 'if there is anything I can do to help, you call me,'" said her oldest daughter Marva Aycock.
The mayor of Belton also made an appearance and joined in on the fun.
"The fact that she has a number of degrees, she didn't stop, she was getting them at age 80 and the fact that she was involved with NASA is impressive. And she is here and she is 100 years old, she never let dust settle under her feet, " said Marion Grayson, Mayor of Belton.
