TEMPLE, TX — A judge granted a motion that will allow Cedric Marks to wear civilian clothes during the double-murder trial.
The defense motion was granted during a pretrial hearing Thursday. Marks will be allowed to wear civilian clothing, instead of a prison uniform, during jury selection and the trial.
The defense filed several other motions, which included sending evidence off for independent analysis and DNA testing on all physical evidence.
The defense also asked for the criminal records of all witnesses and those on the prosecution team.
Marks is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Jenna Scott, and her friend, Michael Swearingin. Marks pleaded not guilty in February.
Marks' next pretrial hearing is scheduled for the middle of January.
