A body that was found at Belton Lake was identified on Thursday after a drowning on Wednesday.
The Bell County Sheriff's Department said that 37-year-old Larry Briggs was diving with friends in the Morgan's Point area, when he never came back up.
Briggs was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Ivey. He was from League City.
The sheriff's department said that no autopsy was ordered.
Morgan's Point police and the sheriff's department were on the scene.
