Belton ISD operating at LEVEL 2 on COVID-19 alert system

BELTON, TX — Belton ISD has developed an alert system should a coronavirus case occur in Bell County.

Currently, the district is at Level 2.

Level 2 is for cases of coronavirus in Bell county.

The district plans to continue to monitor attendance and community with local and state partners.

They will also ramp up cleaning efforts to expand cleaning to less frequently used areas.

At level 2, the district will potentially limit large gatherings, limit all unnecessary travel, potentially limit/restrict outside visitors and guests, and potentially restrict outside food deliveries to facilities.

The district will also develop contingency plans for staffing and operations.

Level 3 is for confirmed coronavirus cases amongst students and/or staff.

At level 3, the district will potentially cancel school events and building rentals.

They will potentially cancel school-related student and staff travel, potentially cancel events, and potentially close campuses in consultation with the Bell County Public Health Department.

The district will communicate with families to the extent of closures, length and school work accommodations.

The district will also perform a deep clean of all areas.
