BELTON, TX — You could barely hear a pin drop and lights were dim Tuesday morning at the Bell County Museum.
It's all a part of a week-long sensory friendly event.
The program is geared toward kids with sensory difficulties or special needs.
"So we have decreased the lighting. We have decreased the sound and activity within the museum itself, so they can experience the exhibits in a new way," said Kayte Ricketts, education coordinator at the Bell County Museum.
The team at the museum also provided different sensory activities that involved sense of touch, sound and more.
Those involved shared although the event is designed for children with sensory issues, anyone who would like to enjoy a sensory friendly environment is welcome to join.
