KILLEEN, TX — On Friday, the Bell County Bar Association hosted a free legal clinic in Killeen for veterans in need of legal advice and assistance.

The biannual clinic is sponsored by the Bell County Bar Association in partnership with the Veterans Legal Initiative.

Members of the association gathered to give veterans free legal advice. They said it was something they were honored to help out with.

"We just feel like we owe the veterans for serving their country. And then we just try to help them. A lot of them don't have the transportation or the ability to go out and make appointments and go to different law offices and stuff like that. So it's just like a one stop shop,” said Cindi Parker, executive director of the Bell County Bar Association.

The legal issues the clinic covered included family law, wills and probate, consumer, property, tax, disability and veterans benefits and many more.

The next clinic will be held in the Fall, and Parker said if you are an attorney who would like to volunteer, you can reach out to the Bell County Bar Association.
