TEMPLE, TX — An autopsy report has come back on one of the two children found dead inside a Temple home during a welfare check in September.

The preliminary report determined that Janae Letrice Boyd, the 1-year-old girl found inside the home, died from neglect.

Her manner of death was listed as a homicide, according to the preliminary autopsy report dated November 22.

The autopsy was performed by the Southwestern Institutde of Forensic Sciences.

The Justice of the Peace, Cliff Coleman, ordered the autopsies after the children were found.

Two-year-old Terik Amaru Boyd's autopsy has not yet been received, according to officials.

Two other children were also removed from the same home where the children were found dead. Police removed a four year old and six year old child who were placed into the care of CPS.

Officers later met back with those two children at McLane Children's Hospital. The affidavit states the children were "wearing clothing that had the odor of decay and trash." After receiving food and water at the hospital, the children commented "they had not had this much food in a long time."

At that time, Terrikah Haynes, 36, was arrested on two counts of abandoning or endangering a child with imminent danger of death or bodily injury.
